My son came home from school the other day with a black and white photo of his hands. He said it was a project his teacher did in class that involved taking a picture of every students hands while they were writing their names. I thought it was a cool black and white photo and decided to frame it.
(Love that he's wearing his silly bandz....I think he's since outgrown these?)
I liked the idea so much, I decided to have my daughter pose while writing her name.
Here's hers framed.
Seemed only fair that they each have a spot on my newly "tweaked" entry gallery wall.

I love the hand picture idea. I was going to take one of my daughters, my mom's and my hands one day when we're all together but I may add individual shots too. Nice
ReplyDeleteI LOVE IT! Martina

ReplyDeleteI love hands. I am obsessed with Jemma's! I took a picture of her painting. So sweet and they won't be little like that for long. I love that your kids are writing their names. You will have that forever with exactly how they were at that time. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love this!! I had handprints made of my youngest two for the first 7 years of their lives. One was 'Hands for work and Hearts for God.' another was 'Cowhands'....handprints painted in black and white cow designs. I have kept them all. Love the way you have displayed yours!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this idea! They grow up so fast and I forget to write a lot of things down and capture the precious moments. Can't wait to do this!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. They turned out great.
ReplyDeleteI so LOVE THIS IDEA. I need to do this with my Grandchildren, This would be a great Mother's Day gift for their mothers. Thank you sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love this! I have to do this! Thanks so much for linking up to Beyond The Picket Fence.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, is that a great teacher or what to take her students' pictures and send each kid's photo home?!! And second, what a great idea of you to do this for your daughter and then post both kids' photos in your entry! They look great there. Plus, your entry looks very pretty! I am looking forward to reading more of your posts. I'm your newest Follower! :)
ReplyDeleteBest,
Gloria
P.S. I forgot to say: Isn't it amazing how each of your children held the paper a different way, and hold their pencil a different way too? Amazing. We are all unique in our own way. :)
