Going Camping - Not Glamping

We're headed to Mossyrock, WA this week for a few days of camping.
This is what my garage looks like as I gather our camping gear for the trip.

We camp with 3 other families and divide up the dinners/breakfasts (lunch is every man
for himself).  We eat pretty well, no beans and weanies for these families.  The dinner
menus consist of flank steak, chicken/beef fajitas, pork tenderloin, etc, but it still doesn't
compare with 'glamping'.  Are you familiar with this term?  Glamping is glamorous
camping.  Here are some great images of glamping I found at google images.

Our version of  'glamping' is buying a tent this year that we can actually stand straight up in,
but this other version looks pretty good too!

  1. Wow! Those glampers have to be backyard campers, because I can't imagine lugging all that stuff out to the woods. Terrific inspiration photos, though. Camping is always fun in large groups because the kids all pair off and keep each other busy. Your menu sounds fantastic! Have fun camping!

  3. Wish I can have one of those. We all love camping and we do it once in every summer.

    Enjoy your trip.

  4. I am no glamper or even camper! I just like to have a private potty to share only with my family! I will have to do some version of camping this year as Jemma wanted to buy a tent for her daddy for his birthday last year and sleeping bags. Sadly on that day we bought theirs, they didn't have one mommy bag! Can you believe it??? :-) That kid remembered that from March to December and when they went Christmas shopping for me, the only thing she wanted to get me was a sleeping bag! Hellooooo!!!! Looks like we are going camping this fall when it cools off. ;-)

  5. Wow! Those are some tents, I think I could get into that! They are gorgeous! Regular camping is fun too, we used to go camping and water skiing (sp)? most summer weekends when I was young. We always went with lots of family and friends and lots of fun!

  6. Thank you for the kind comments on my blog. So glad you liked my little napkin rings! I'll let you know when the Lovely Beasts etsy shop is open. I'm moving a little slower then I originally thought, so hopefully by Sunday! Can't wait!

And I love your blog! Following you now :). These tent pictures are so fun (esp the one with the red and white theme) and I love the little green pillow cushions you made for your patio. So cute!
